School is out and you are now probably wondering what to do for the rest of your vacation. Trying to go on a summer adventure, but only have a small budget? No worries, here are a few ideas to help you have fun this summer!

1. Free Festivals

Check out your local newspaper or online news to find events happening locally. Chances are there are a ton of free festivals happening! Everything from music, to food, to arts and wine festivals, are happening every summer. If you use an online search engine, you can narrow it down to “free festivals” and select from a variety of fun events.

2. Half Off Rides

If you have local amusement parks in your area, then you’re in for a treat! Most amusement parks have specials on their admission tickets. Whether you get a coupon online or from a soda can, they also have other deals if you ask the ticket office. Call your local amusement park and inquire about admission tickets after a certain time. Some parks give their admission tickets half off after 5pm!

3. Free Day

Museums and zoos have what’s called “Free First of the Month.” Take advantage of this special admission day! Museums and zoos pick a certain day of the month for people to come visit for free. Usually these days are the first Mondays or First Fridays of the month. Definitely check these out and you’ll have a blast checking out cool artwork or animals for free! If you’ve missed the free day, they also have special discount days as well.
