There are some great movies that have recently been released or will be coming out very soon! Now is the perfect time to journey out to movie theaters because the weather is getting colder and it is nice to get warm and cozy in a theater with some steaming popcorn. Be sure to check out these four highly anticipated movies:
1. Don Jon (September 27th)
Although this has already been out for a while, it may still be out in some theaters. If not, check it out when it gets released on DVD if you are looking to break away from your books for a laugh. Don Jon is the story of a guy (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who likes to watch pornography on his computer while trying to maintain a relationship with a woman (played by Scarlett Johansson) who is looking for prince charming. It is a great comedy perfect for college students.

2. Gravity (October 4th)
For fans of Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, this is the movie for you! Both actors are on a space mission and get stuck in space alone after their shuttle is destroyed in an accident. The graphics alone are enough to prove that this movie is stellar, not to mention how it gets your adrenaline pumping!

3. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (November 22nd)
This is one of the most talked about films of the season; the second film of the Hunger Games series. In this film, Katinss (played by Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (played by Josh Hutcherson) are being targeted by the Capitol after they cause a rebellion with their actions in the last Hunger Games. Definitely a must-see!

Do you have a sweet tooth? Want to satisfy your sugar cravings but don’t want to make large amounts of desserts? Here are some dessert ideas and recipes that are perfect for a single serving. Whether you’re living in a dorm or an apartment, these desserts are easy to make and your friends will love them too (if you feel like sharing that is). Don’t worry about having an oven, all you need is a microwave to make these delicious desserts – perfect for a typical college student!
1) Cake In a Mug
Recipe: Mix in 4 tablespoons of flour, 4 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa, and 3 tablespoons of milk into a mug. Whisk in 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons of oil, and 3 tablespoons of chocolate chips. Feel free to splash in flavoring such as vanilla, cinnamon, or peppermint! Mix it all together and pop it into the microwave for five minutes or less (make sure not to over-cook it).

2) Chocolate Chip Cookie
Recipe: Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a mug or small bowl in the microwave. Add 1 tablespoon of granulated white sugar, 1 tablespoon of firmly packed dark brown sugar, 3 drops of vanilla extract, and a small pinch of salt. Add in 1 egg and 1/4 cup of flour and mix until the dough is formed. Now stir in 2 tablespoons of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Sculpt the dough out of the bowl/mug and into a cookie shape. Place it on a small plate lined with a paper towel or parchment paper. Microwave it for about a minute, then let it cool and firm up before eating.
