As much as I’m in denial about the whole “g” word, it is time to face the fact that my undergraduate career is in fact almost over. The fact that I only have a couple more months as a student here at University of Delaware is exciting and terrifying all at the same time. I decided to compile a list of the 5 best things I have done since being in college the past 3.5 years because I think you should consider doing them if you haven’t already!
1. Rush a Sorority/Fraternity
Sorority recruitment changed my life. I was a transfer student to UD my sophomore year and having come from Syracuse – I knew NO ONE. Joining my sorority absolutely changed my life and my college experience for the better.
2. Run A Race
I registered for my first marathon last year and am so happy I did. I’m not saying that you have to go run a marathon, but consider doing a 5k or that beloved Color Run; running a race with friends is an experience you won’t forget.
3. Live Off Campus
To live in an apartment with three other friends my senior year has been an unbelievable experience. Not only is it a ton of fun, I finally escaped that dreadful dining hall food and can cook myself dinner in my own kitchen.
4. Road Trip
It doesn’t have to be far or take a long time, just go somewhere fun and spend a day forgetting about classes and exams. Taking road trips down to the beach with my best friends has created memories that will last a lifetime.
5. Take Pictures
Trust me, if you don’t have at least 500 pictures to document your college career, you will regret it. These are supposed to be the best 4 years of your life, and you don’t want to forget a second of them.
Do any of these things while you can! Your college years go by faster than you think!
